
Kohima, August 1 (MExN): The Kohima Law College Students’ Union (KLCSU) held handing and taking over of its office cum releasing of KLCSU souvenir video (DVD) which covered activities of the students’ union during 2015-16 at Kohima Law College premises on July 27. Outgoing KLCSU President, Vitoka K Aye extended gratitude to the college authority and students for their support and cooperation during his tenure. Highlighting the activities carried out during his two-year tenure as KLCSU President, he said as a leader one must have patience, dedication, courage and know the responsibility, a press release informed. He also urged the gathering and the new officials (2016-17) to carry forward the issues like establishing separate law department under Nagaland University, separate High Court, demanding review of low marking system, setting up government law college, introducing Internal Exam in the LL.B Semester system. He stressed that without legal institution, there would be no knowledge of law and without “knowledge of law” there will be no good governance. Professor in-charge of students’ welfare, Kezhohoto Savi officially released the souvenir of KLCSU (DVD) and distributed among the students. He congratulated the former KLCSU executives for their achievement and services rendered to the students’ community and society. Visevonuo Pienyo, Principal, Kohima Law College exhorted the students and congratulated the former KLCSU executives for their successful tenure. She also extended best wishes to the present officials led by Laknyei Phom as President. The KLCSU general election was held on July 23.
