Kohima, June 29 (DIPR): The Bi-monthly meeting of the AHoDs/HoDs was held on June 28 in the Secretariat Conference Hall in Kohima. Chairing the meeting, Chief Secretary Lalthara informed the House that the Government has decided to adopt the 6th Pay Commission for grant of National Increment to the state employees w.e.f. 1st June 2008 and the new ROP will be affected from 1st April 2010.
Briefing the members, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner, Alemtemshi Jamir emphasized and explained the fund position of the State Annual Plan for 2010-11. He insisted on the heads of departments to utilize the fund as per the allocation made. The chief secretary also clarified that the state government has not received any Stay Order from any government regarding the Retirement Act and so the government will go ahead with the recruitment process.
The government had requested all departments to furnish information indicating the number of vacancies arising out of the Retirement Act with effect from October 30, 2009 to June 30, 2010. The house also discussed the leakage of the upstairs of the Secretariat building and decided to take remedial measures. The chief secretary requested all the departments and participating parties to prepare to give their best to the celebration of Independence Day on August 15.
