State level meeting on MCC implementation held Kohima, January 22 (MExN): The State level meeting on implementation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) was held on January 22 with Pankaj Kumar, Chief Secretary, Nagaland as the chairperson at Chief Secretary’s conference hall here. The Chief Secretary highlighted the Election Commission of India’s directives on MCC. Abhijit Sinha, CEO Nagaland briefed on the MCC and guidelines to be followed by all departments.
Southern Angamis in Kohima form union Kohima, January 22 (MExN): With the endorsement of Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO), the Southern Angamis in Kohima have formed a union under the nomenclature Southern Angami Union, Kohima (SAUK) on January 20. The union will be led by Kevithuto Sophie as president, Zaseivoto Rote as vice president, Kekhrungol Vitsu as general secretary, Ketoulekho Ngukha as joint secretary, and Vitsulie Motonyu as treasurer for the tenure 2018-2021.
