
DEO Kohima informs Kohima, August 18 (MExN): The District Education Officer, Kohima has informed all Heads of institutions (both Government and Private) under its jurisdiction that the Science Seminar 2017 for High School students of Classes 8 -10 on the topic "Swachh Bharat: Role of Science and Technology Promise and Challenges" which was scheduled to be held on August 22 at Christ King Higher Secondary School, Kohima has been postponed to August 25 due to State Level Teachers Conference. The venue and the time remain the same. DEO Dimapur informs schools Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The office of the District Education Officer, Dimapur has informed all government and private schools under Dimapur district that the Teachers’ Day Token & Car flags will be issued from the DEO Office room No.1. Therefore, all the concern Principal/ Headmaster are requested to collect the same during office hours. ZRSU condemns rape attempt Zunheboto, August 18 (MExN): The Zunheboto Range Students' Union (ZRSU) has strongly condemned the alleged incident of attempt to rape of a minor girl by one Ahokhe H. Zhimo on August 14 at New Colony, Zunheboto. In a strongly worded condemnation, the union termed the act “barbaric and insane” and against the moral values and norms of Sumi tradition. The union has appealed the law enforcing agencies to treat the case with utmost priority and award befitting punishment to the culprit. Clarification DIMAPUR, AUGUST 18 (MExN): In reference to the rejoinder issued by one Takosenla regarding the Sumo Driver’s Union Mokokchung protest, published on August 17, 2017, the former today clarified that the issue has been amicably settled. Clarifying the matter, it was informed that after the rejoinder was issued, the matter was amicably settled on August 16 and hence the rejoinder published on August 17 remains void.
