DC Zunheboto informs on polling stations draft list Zunheboto, August 26 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, T. Roy has informed general public, political parties and all stakeholders that draft list of polling stations under 31 to 36 Assembly Constituencies has been prepared and can be inspected at the office of Deputy Commissioner and District Election Office, Zunheboto. Suggestions and objections, if any, should be filed on or before August 30, it was stated.   EAC Zunheboto informs on mock drill exercise Zunheboto, August 26 (DIPR): EAC Zunheboto, Wiridin has informed that NSDMA is conducting a state wide mega mock exercise NEPEx on August 29 and 30 to test the government's preparedness to respond and manage any mega impending disaster. In this regard, all members of Zunheboto District Disaster Management Authority (ZDDMA) have been asked to participate in the table top exercise to be held on August 29, 11:00 am at DC's conference hall.   Untrained elementary teachers informed Kohima, August 26 (MExN): Principal Director of School Education department, Smita Sarangi (IAS) has informed all concerned in-service untrained elementary teachers in the government, government aided or unaided-private schools to get themselves enrolled for the D.EL.ED course on or before September 15, 2017. Registration can be done by logging into the NIOS website. Eligibility: Minimum Qualification required for admission to D.EL.ED is 50% aggregate in class 12 (45% for ST/SC/OBC/PH person). They can avail internet facilities at district NIC centres, CIC, DMA offices, Sarangi said in a press release.   NPF condoles Kohima, August 26 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF), Central HQ Kohima has expressed sadness at the passing away of Watimeren Ao on August 24. Born at Khensa village of Mokokchung in 1932, his parents sent him to Assam and Manipur to pursue his studies during the period when Nagas were faced with immense hardship, going through Army operations and grouping of villages etc, stated a condolence message from the party. He was the first government employee from Khensa village before Nagaland got Statehood. Watimeren was the father of Moanaro, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Mokokchung with Additional charge of Zunheboto, Nagaland and wife of Shilumar, Press Secretary, NPF Central, temporary office, Legacy Complex, Bayavü Hill. All rank and file of the NPF have extended condolences to Shilumar and the bereaved family and prayed that God grants them strength and solace.   Recruitment rally at Laitkor Kohima, August 26 (MExN): The Directorate General of Assam Rifles, Shillong is conducting a recruitment rally at Laitkor (Recruitment Branch), Shillong, Meghalaya for meritorious sportspersons who won medals in International Championship/ National/ Inter University Tournament/ National Sports/ Games for schools and Physical Efficiency Drive from September 30. This was informed in a press release issued by Linda Solo, Director, Youth Resources and Sports, Kohima.
