ASUB informs parents Bangalore, September 10 (MExN): The Angami Students’ Union Bangalore (ASUB) has informed all parents whose children are either studying or employed in Bengaluru to register themselves with the Union so as to help and assist the members in the event of any emergencies such as death, accident or medical necessity. “The union is compelled to issue this notification as the situation in Bengaluru is worsening due to suicides, road accident etc. where victims are from the North-East with little or no information about the victims,” the ASUB stated in a press release.   19th SNSWK Annual Conference Dimapur, September 10 (MExN): With the theme: “Pushing Horizon, Sharing Life”, the Society for Naga Students Welfare Kerala (Naga Students Union) will be holding the 19th Annual Conference cum Fresher’s Meet on September 16 at CSI, Retreat Centre, Kottayam, with NSN Lotha, Former President NSF as Chief Guest and KT Matthew, Convener, Nagaland State Pensioner Welfare Association Kerala as Guest of Honour.   Fathers’ Bible Camp held Kohima, September 10 (MExN): NCRC P.R. Hill, Kohima organized Fathers’ Bible Camp in Peducha from September 8-10 under the theme 'A man after God's own heart'. On the second day, Neipfe Rüpreo, Research Scholar, Radboud University, Netherlands, in the first session spoke on legacies that fathers leave behind. The speaker urged the participants to leave a good legacy and not legacy of deceit and lies, according to a press release. In the second session, Avono Yokha, lecturer, Asian Evangelical Bible Seminary spoke on the topic ‘The call and the effects of negative emotional feelings’. Around 50 fathers enrolled for the bible camp.   Khiamniungan organizations mourn Dimapur, September 10 (MExN): Khiamniungan Union Dimapur (KUD), Khiamniungan Students’ Union Dimapur (KSUD), and Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam Dimapur (KMHD) have expressed shock and sadness over the demise of S. Hangchiu, DCO Wokha. He passed away on September 7 after prolonged illness. The organizations through a condolence message from KSUD general secretary, A. Nathan said Hangchiu was a former leader, a backbone of the tribe, who could bring back the lost traditions, cultures. “He served in different capacities with the force of his personality, and the quality of his intellect leaving behind many inspiring wisdom,” it added. “…The memory of his brilliant leadership will however, remain a source of inspiration and encouragement leaving lasting legacy especially to the KUD, KSUD and KMHD.” The organizations further expressed condolences to the bereaved family.   PDTA asks members to renew membership   Phek, September 10 (MExN): Phek District Timber Association (PDTA) has informed all its trader members to renew their membership. The date for renewal has been extended till September 30 at the PDTA office, Pfutsero Town.
