Capacity on digital payment Mon, September 14 (DIPR): Panchayat level capacity on digital payment for RD Block Angjangyang was held on September 12 at BDO Office, Mon. Er. Ravi Ranjan Kumar, District Informatics Officer, Mon who was a resource person said that, “today, it is the need of going digital as it provides transparency in the system, convenient to use, essential to curb duplicates currency”. Ravi also explained the different methods of digital payment like BHIM, SBI PAY, SBI BUDDY, *99#, Debit Card etc. He emphasized the use of *99# for rural areas where internet connectivity is not good. Officers and staff of DRDA, Mon, BDO RD Block Angjangyang, VDB Secretaries and Villagers attended the programme. Training on Implementation of DBT Wokha, September 14 (DIPR): Workshop and training on the Implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer under RD Block Wozhuro on September 13 at Zinnia Hall, Wokha. Thungdeno Mozhui, PD DRDA, Wokha and Mathew APC who were the resource persons apprised the village functionaries and RD officials on the system of implementation of direct benefit transfer in order to promote transparency and accountability in implementation of various RD programmes. During the training, the resource persons also clarified and cleared the doubts raised by the trainees. National Eye Donation Fortnight at Peren Peren, September 14 (DIPR): The 32nd National Eye Donation Fortnight was observed on September 8 at Town Hall, Peren. It was organized by National Programme for Control of Blindness (NPCB) and VI Peren. Chairperson, IRCS, Peren & Vice Principal, Peren College, Albert, exhorted the gathering on how the blind imagine things in beautiful ways, as they listen to everything. He further stressed on the noble job of pledging for donation of organs, especially the eyes through which a person can let others see and live normal life. If you want to see beautiful things after death, donate your eyes, he urged.
