CNTC lauds inviting NNPGs to peace talks

Dimapur, September 26 (MExN): The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has lauded the Government of India for inviting the Working Group of the NNPGs, “which prove its seriousness to expedite the peace talks in finding a lasting and an honourable solution on the protracted Naga Issue.” The CNTC in a statement from its Media Cell also appreciated the Interlocutor of the Indo-Naga talks, RN Ravi for hearing the pleas made by the Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC), Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) and the different tribal hohos to include all groups in the ongoing talks “without which all talks will prove to be futile as in the past.” The GOI under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown an extraordinary statesmanship and sincerity in trying to solve this long issue, it added. CNTC also appreciated the NBCC who through their continuous fervent prayers has made the achievement thus far. It prayed and hoped that with this step, the long unfulfilled aspirations of the Nagas may be fulfilled.  

DMC Administrator informs on pigsties

Dimapur, September 26 (MExN): As per the meeting held and resolution passed on September 22 between the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) and Ward Sanitation Committees, DMC Administrator Moa Sangtam has informed all citizens under Dimapur municipality that it is mandatory for all pigsties to have attached dug pit. All the colony authorities have been authorized to take appropriate action against those who fail to comply with this order, which will come into effect from October 1, 2017, he stated in an order.  

KMC to auction JNNURM buses

Kohima, September 26 (MExN): Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Administrator, Kethosituo Sekhose has issued general public information that the KMC will be disposing 11 JNNURM buses on an ‘as is where is basis’ by way of auction. The inspection of the vehicles can be done by interested parties from September 27 to 30 at KMC Chaü Parking, Science College Road between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Auction will be held on October 4 at 1:00 pm in the office of the Administrator KMC. For further information, interested party/individual can contact KMC during office hour.  

NSCN (IM) mourns

Hebron, September 26 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has expressed pain over the demise of Thripongse, Office Assistant-l of Tatar Hoho Secretariat on September 24. Acknowledging that he had been serving the nation with utmost sincerity and dedication till his death, a message from Cabinet Secretary to the GPRN stated, “NSCN/GPRN shall always cherish his sacrificial service rendered to the sacred cause of the nation with pride and honor.” The NSCN (IM) also extended sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the solace of the departed soul.
