KLC Moot Court today

Kohima, September 27 (MExN): The Kohima Law College (KLC) is conducting Moot Court to enable the law students to learn the practical knowledge and art of discussion on the point of law on September 28. The Professor-in-Charge Kezhokhoto Savi in a press release has asked the students to be seated in the Moot Court Room at 9:00 am.  

KSUD informs on enrollment and membership

Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Khiamniungan Students' Union Dimapur (KSUD) has informed all the colony, college and higher secondary representatives to submit the enrollment and membership on September 30 to any of the officials. The union further informed students residing without the knowledge of the union or without parents in any forms to contact the KSUD, Education Secretary @8794076442 for necessary clarification and registration. KSUD Education Secretary T. Thanghoi in a press release stated that failing to comply or register, the union will not be held responsible as per the resolution passed down by the executive body.  

Declaration of Roto Shohe Family Tree

Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): Roto Shohe Abolomi Kuposhukulu Editorial Board and Research Committee have invited all the family members of Roto Shohe Clan on the occasion of declaration of Roto Shohe Family Tree 1560-65 to 2017 1st Edition at the residence of Er. Picto Shohe, Parliamentary Secretary for Justice & Law, Nagaland at Thilixu Village Block-II on September 29, 9:00 am.  

WCYO mourns

Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Western Chakhesang Youth Organization (WCYO) has expressed sadness over the sudden demise of Yeheto Zhimomi, general secretary, GB Union Dimapur and the oldest ACAUT Nagaland member. “He was a man of humble nature and loving fatherly figure and his life was an inspiration to the younger generation. His death has left us a huge void, where no one can fill in and a loss not only to family, relatives and the Sumi community but to the whole Naga society,” WCYO stated in a condolence message from president, Likalo Letro and general secretary, Vekho Ruho. The WCYO also extended sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family.

Pensioners in Peren informed

Peren, September 27 (MExN): All the pensioners drawing pension from Treasury Office, Peren have been informed that the annual Pensioners' Physical Verification will be held from October 11 to 13. This was informed in a press release from Namreuying Zeliang, Treasury Officer, Peren.  

Meeting on Lokayukta Bill held

Kohima, September 27 (MExN): The Select Committee on Lokayukta Bill, 2015 held a consultative meeting with the government departments concerned and ACAUT Nagaland members on September 26 in the Assembly Committee room. A press release from Er. Levi Rengma, Chairman, Select Committee informed that elaborate deliberation was held on the suggestions made by the ACAUT Nagaland on the bill. The committee decided to have one more sitting with ACAUT Nagaland members on the latter’s request, it added.  

PWHD seminar

DImapur, September 27 (mexn): The Pochury Women Hoho Dimapur (PWHD) will hold one day seminar on September 30, 10:00 am at Pochury Baptist Church Dimapur. A press release from PWHD president, Ikhuli Nguvisie has asked the participants to come in traditional attire. Meanwhile, all the members of the hoho have been requested to attend the seminar, adding fine will be imposed upon the absentees.  

Mass social work in Dimapur on Oct 2

Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): In commemoration of the 3rd anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission on October 2, a mass social work will be organized by Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC). Therefore, DMC Administrator, Moa Sangtam in a notification has requested all the colony chairmen/GBs within the DMC jurisdiction to send five representatives from each colony to participate in the mass social work scheduled for October 2 from 6:00 am to 8:00 am. Meanwhile, all the representatives have been requested to assemble at City Tower before 6:00 am positively.  

KUK condemns

Kohima, September 27 (MExN): The Kuzhami Union Kohima (KUK) has condemned the life attempt on L. Doulo, owner of Kuda Cold Storage on September 18 reportedly by NSCN (K) cadres. “We outrightly condemn such inhuman act of targeting life in the name of tax which will never bridge for peace and solution rather it will create hatred and animosity in the society,” stated a condemnation note from the union. In this regard, the union urged both the NSCN (K) authority and government to immediately book the accused and take punitive actions.
