Public rally on October 5
Dimapur, October 3 (MExN): The Tribal Union Chumukedima Town (TUCT) will hold the proposed public rally on October 5 to create mass awareness on the “menace of random influx of IBIs.” The rally will be held at Saturday Weekly market, Chumukedima Town from 9:00 am onwards.
‘Tsokum Festival’ in Kohima
Kohima, October 3 (MExN): To preserve and showcase the rich tradition and culture of the Khiamniungan tribe, the Khiamniungan Union Kohima will be celebrating the premier festival of the tribe ‘Tsokum Festival’ on October 5, 10:30 am at Naga Heritage, Kisama. The union has invited all the Khiamniungans residing in and around Kohima to be part of the festival in traditional attires. Transportation will be provided from the following pick up points: High School Junction, Red Cross Building junction and CRPF camp Lerie at 8:00 am. Everyone has been requested to reach the pickup points at the scheduled time.
Nagamese Fellowship organises healing crusade
Kohima, October 3 (MExN): A three-day healing crusade was organized by Nagamese Fellowship from September 22 to 24 at Molu Ki, Paramedical here. Dr. Ruokuozelie Pienyü, President, House of Prayer Ministry and Rev. Sedevilie Angami, Mission Director, Nagaland Mission Outreach Ministry were the speakers. The programmes were led by Vekhose Nakro, Vilakhonuo Pienyu, Akala, and Arila Jamir, while Nagamese Church Prayer Group and Call of God Ministry led the praise and worship. Scripture passages were read by Yavinuo Sekhose, Anyusakho, Chuzotho Kajiri, and Bal Bahadur. Sharing was done by Wati, Evangelistic Committee Convenor, Ao Baptist Church, Rev. Neivilie Mere, Founder, Nagamese Church (NC), Pastor Ningorazo Nagi, and Pastor Bendang, New Capital Complex Baptist Church. Miracle deliverance testimonies were shared by Obed, Phulmaya, and Lolenmangyang.
AEO Zunheboto informs on electoral roll
Zunheboto, October 3 (MExN): Assistant Election Officer, Zunheboto, Chisho K. Swu has informed all electors of 31A/C to 36 A/C under Zunheboto district that electoral roll has been prepared with qualifying date as January 1, 2018. A copy for inspection has been made available at ERO and AERO offices and polling stations during office hours. Any claim for inclusion of name in the roll or any objection to the inclusion should be lodged on or before October 31, 2017 to ERO, AEROs and BLOs, it was informed.
Kiphire BJMM president’s death mourned
Kohima, October 3 (MExN): K Thong, State Secretary BJP Nagaland and Kiphire district in-charge has expressed shock and sorrow at the sudden demise of Tsachola Sangtam, president, Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) Kiphire district on September 29. “In her death, the party has lost a promising and able leader. Let the almighty God grant her family grace and strength while passing through this difficult moment,” Thong added in a condolence message.
