DC Kohima informs garage owners

Kohima, November 24 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, has in an order directed all garage owners under Kohima HQ to confine parking of vehicles within the vicinity of the garage and not otherwise. The DC further informed that off road vehicles and vehicles under repair at garages wrongly parked at roadsides will be impounded and appropriate action taken against the garage owners. The order has been issued in view of the random parking of off road vehicles and vehicles brought for repair at roadsides by garage owners, thereby causing traffic congestion, accidents and inconveniences to the public.  

NSCN (R) appoints Secretary to VP

Dimapur, November 24 (MExN): The NSCN (Reformation) has appointed Deon Swu as Special Secretary to the Vice President. Swu is former president of Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN), former president of All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU), and former official PS to a Parliamentary Secretary, informed a press release from MIP, NSCN (R). The NSCN (R) prayed that God will bless and guide him abundantly throughout his future endeavors for the uplift of NSCN (R) in particular and Naga nation in general.  

Two vehicle lifters held

Kohima, November 24 (MExN): Kohima Police have arrested two vehicle lifters in connection with a theft of a truck bearing registration NL01A-9602 from Peducha Village. The two were identified as Rohim Uddin (21), a resident of 6th Mile, Chumukedima, and Mone Dehiangia (23), a resident of Dibrugarh, Assam. A case in this regard has been registered at Sechü (Zubza) PS against the arrested persons for further investigation.  

Pay water bill through Axis Bank in Kma

Kohima, November 24 (MExN): For the convenience of the PHED water supply consumers of state capital Kohima, the Department of PHE is introducing payment of water bill through Axis Bank with effect from December 1, 2017. All the consumers can avail the Easy pay service provided by Axis bank at various branches in Kohima, namely PR Hill branch near Red Cross building; Kohima branch, near UBC Church; and GHS road branch, Bayavu Hill, Kohima. Er. Vikeduolie Mepfhuo,EE (Urban) PHED informed that Pay-in-slip forms may be collected from the office of the Executive Engineer, Kohima (Urban) and make use of the facility to pay water bills easily. Meanwhile the PHED Kohima Urban office counter will be open on all working days except Wednesday.
