‘Awareness on mental health’ seminar held
Kohima, December 10 (MExN): A seminar under the theme ‘Awareness on mental health’ was held on December 6 at Alder College, Kohima, organized by the Department of Education. Speaking as resource person, Dr. Viketoulie Pienyü, Senior Medical Officer, State Mental Institute, Kohima pointed out the realities about young people today facing lots of stress by making a comparison with the old and modern days. He highlighted modern life stress due to social, peer, parents and authority pressure. Topics on different types of stress, managing mental health issues, and few suggestions to the teachers with regard to mental health development were covered by the resource person. Keynote address was delivered by Dr. Akala Longkumer, Head, Department of Education.
Nagaland BJP notifies
Dimapur, December 10 (MExN): Nagaland State BJP has notified that new Boleros have been issued to the BJP units of Tuensang, Longleng, Mon and Kiphire districts in the first phase. Vehicles will be issued to the remaining districts in the second phase, stated a press release from the Nagaland BJP Media Cell. Meanwhile, the party informed that the first phase of Mandal booth level training will be launched from December 11 to 16 covering the following mandals –Noksen, Longkhim, Tuensang 1&2, Samator, Wokha, Tyui, Sanis, Bhandari, Tamlu, Tuli and Alongtaki.
Phek organic farmers’ society formed
Phek, December 10 (MExN): Organic farmers in Phek district have come together to form Phek District Organic Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd. The society was formed during the Phek district FPO meeting & Registration to Co-operative Society under MOVCD-NER on December 6. The new society will be led by Theyehuyi Dawhou as chairman, Sathosie Nyuwi as secretary, Huveta Rhakho as treasurer and seven others in the managing committee, a press release from the office of the Phek District Agriculture Officer informed.
