Disney announces ‘High School Musical 4’
Disney has announced a new “High School Musical” movie after the 2008 film “High School Musical 3: Senior Year”. Jeffrey Hornaday, who has Disney Channel’s “Teen Beach Movie” and “Teen Beach 2” to her credit, is set to direct and choreograph the latest instalment, reports usmagazine.com. “‘High School Musical’ is part of Disney Channel’s DNA. It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we are excited to announce ‘the start of something new’ as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth instalment of the ‘High School Musical’ franchise,” Disney Channel President Gary Marsh said. “High School Musical” is described as a modern-day ‘Romeo and Juliet’ which tells the story of Troy Bolton (Efron) the star athlete at a small-town high school who falls for nerdy beauty Gabriella Montez (Hudgens) at a karaoke party. The film will feature an entirely new cast and it has not yet been revealed if any of the original stars will make an appearance. Earlier, the “High School Musical” franchise launched the careers of a host of stars including Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.Source: IANS
‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ to release in India
George Miller’s dystopian thriller ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, which won six Oscar trophies at the Academy Awards, is all set to re-release in India on March 11. Warner Bros has decided to release the film in 3D & IMAX 3D. “Fury Road”, one of the most reviewed films of 2015, won maximum trophies at the Oscars on Sunday where it was honoured for Costume Design, Film Editing, Makeup and Hairstyling, Production Design, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing. Set in the post-apocalypse world, the film revolves around a female warrior (Charlize Theron) who decides to rebel against the warlord to rescue his five wives. She is helped in her mission by film’s titular hero, Max Rockatansky, played by Tom Hardy.Source: PTI
‘Fan’ trailer crosses 4m views in 24 hours
The trailer of Shah Rukh’s most-awaited flick ‘Fan’, has amassed 4 million views within 24 hours of hitting the media. Yashraj Raj Films took to its Twitter handle and shared SRK’s pic with words, “4 million views in 24 hours”, written on it and captioned the pic as, “That’s some incredible FAN Power! Can you get enough of the #FANTrailer ? @FanTheFilm. The 2.51-minute video trailer that was released yesterday, showed Gaurav (Shah Rukh) an obsessive fan of superstar Aryan Khanna, who tries every possible means to meet his idol and the craze, through a bizarre turn of events, turns him into Aryan’s biggest enemy. Recreating the 50-year-old actor’s super hit ‘Darr,’ ‘Fan’ has Shah Rukh in a double role with excellent prosthetics in play. In February, a promotional song ‘Jabra Fan’ was launched in the national capital which went viral within some days. This Vishal-Shekhar composition was then dubbed in six other regional languages to keep up the craze. ‘Fan,’ produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj banner, will be released on April 15 this year.Source: ANI
