IMFL seized Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): The Excise Mobile Squad personnel today seized 816 bottles of IMFL/Beer at Newfield checkgate and arrested one person in this connection. The Superintendent of Excise (MS) Katoho Sumi in a press note informed that the squad led by IE Lichumse Sangtam intercepted the items and arrested the person identified as Neitho and booked him under relevant NPLT Act’ 1989. Lauding the haul, the Superintendent also informed that the unit will carrying out further excise & prohibition duties in future to stop “rampant flow of liquor” in the state.  

  NCSU demand cancellation of all table tenders Kohima, March 3 (MExN): Alleging direct violation of Government’s standing order, the NCSU has demanded the cancellation of all table tender against various construction under Police Engineering Project. In a letter to the Chief Engineer, Police Engineering Project released to the media here, the Nagaland Contractor & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) President, Pele Khezhie and Secretary Imsunok Jamir urged the concerned authority to stop all the table tender works and intimate the union at the earliest. “Failing which, the union will lodge PIL against the department,” the Union further stated in the letter.     Schools informed to register Kohima, March 3 (MExN): All the schools across Nagaland, irrespective of board affiliation or ownership have been informed to register online Sports Authority of India at www. sportsauthorityofindia.nic.in & www.school-sports.in. A press note from Director of School Education Addl. Director Limawabang Aier informed that the registration would help the schools build a bridge with SAI all sports related activities.
