NMC informs allopathic doctors
Kohima, April 6 (MExN): Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) has informed all the allopathic doctors who have so far registered in the Council to collect their registration certificate from the office of the NMC. Doctors have been requested to display their registration numbers in their letter heads or prescription pads. They have also been advised to display only the recognised degrees by MCI/ NMC and avoid other degrees which are not recognised. A press release from NMC Deputy Registrar Dr. Kevilhulie Meyase further informed the doctors to study the Code of Medical Ethics of MCI and abide by them for their own protection.
KMC informs on trade license
Kohima, April 6 (MExN): All owners of shops, financial establishments, restaurants and institutions have been informed that the issuance of new trade license or renewal of trade license for the period of April 2016 to March 2017 has been extended till April 30, as per the request of Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) and in reiteration of the notice vide no.KMC/NOT-1/2014-16/6173 dated February 16. A press note issued by Kovi Meyase, Administrator, KMC has requested all the non-registered or non-renewed trade license traders under Kohima Municipality to comply with the notice, failing which, necessary actions shall be taken against the defaulters.
Nomination for Kabir Puraskar Award
Kohima, April 6 (DIPR): The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has informed the Government of Nagaland to nominate and recommend deserving cases for the Kabir Puraskar award for the year 2016. The last date for submitting nomination is May 15, 2016. This award is announced every year on October 2. The Central Government had instituted a National Award designated as "Kabir Puraskar" for honoring the persons who work for promotion of communal harmony and national integration. The award is given in three Grades - Grade-I, Grade-II and Grade-III carrying a cash amount of Rs. 2,000,00/-, Rs. l,00,000/- and Rs. 50,000/- respectively along with a citation. The objective behind the award is to commend conspicuous acts of physical/moral courage and humanity exhibited by member(s) of one community, caste or ethnic group in saving lives and properties of the member(s) of another community, caste or ethnic group during communal, caste or ethnic violence.
NNC/PGN inducts caretaker of Sumi Region
Dimapur, April 6 (MExN): The NNC/People's Government of Nagaland has inducted KK Achumi as the caretaker of Sumi Region, (Regional Administrative officer) with effect from April 4. This was informed in a press release issued by Ministry of information & Publicity, NNC/PGN.
Bike recovered
Dimapur, April 6 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (Singnya-Zhopra Group) in Dimapur has recovered a bike. Therefore, the owner has been informed to claim the same within seven days (from April 7 to 13) along with relevant documents in original.
