CTC to ban Poly-bag from May 1 Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): All business establishment and public in Chumukedima Town are informed that the usage of Polythene bag within Chumukedima Town will be banned with effective from banned May 1. Only environment friendly 40 Micron bag will be allowed, informed a press notification from EAC cum Administrator, Chumukedima Town Council, Thungbemo Patton adding that the order is in “the interest and health safety of public.”     WSKH emergency meeting Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): The Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) has called for an emergency meeting of its office bearers, executive members and advisors on April 9 at 10 a.m. at Hoho office at Chekiye village.     Kiphire monthly Bazaar today Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): The first monthly bazaar of Kiphire Town will be held at Daily Market, Kiphire on April 8, 6 AM onwards. Farmers/SHGs from Kiphiri, Singrep, Langkok, Longthionger, Phelunger, Anatonger, Lihtsaoung and Nutsu Villages will be participating at the event. Products from fields, jungle and handicrafts will be sold at reasonable prices, informed the Sub-Divisional Officer and the Convenor of the Monthly Bazaar in a press note. The monthly bazaar is being organised under the aegis of DPDB Kiphire with Agri and Allied Departments of Kiphire and District Administration and will be held circle-wise every second Friday of the month, it added. The convener also invited all the interested individuals to participate at the monthly bazaar.     KMC calls ward chairman meet Kohima, April 7 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council has informed all ward chairman under its jurisdiction that there will be a joint meeting with the District Forest Officer (DFO), Kohima on April 13, 11 am at the KMC Conference Hall in regard to tree plantation in Kohima town/wards. A press note issued by Administrator Kovi Meyase has requested all war chairmen or representatives to kindly attend the meeting without fail.     PTCSU to organise sanitation drive Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): The Phek town Chakhesang Students’ Union will be organising a ‘Sanitation Drive cum Awareness Programme’ with the theme, “Clean Town, Happy Life.” At Phek Town on April 9, 8.30 Am onwards. The Union will also organise an essay and painting competition to coincide with the event. In this connection, a press note from PTCSU President Thuputo Venuh and Social & Cultural Secy. Rukuyi Vero has informed all the educational institutions in Phek Town to extend “fullest cooperation” for the event.
