NSCN (IM) welcome ‘home comers’
Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has warmly welcome five ‘home comers’ into the ‘mainstream,’ according to a press release from its MIP. With the signing of “Framework Agreement” on 3rd August 2015, the future of Naga nation has become certain and knowing the certainty, many comrades in other camp has joined to strengthen Naga national pursuit, it added. The MIP further identified the home comers as Tahnei Konyak, Tatar; Capt. Khoayun Konyak; 2nd Lieut. Akash Konyak all from GPRN/NSCN and Corporal Ali Lainung and 2nd Lieut. Hawen Wancho from NSCN (R).
Excise nab 310 kgs ganja
Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): The Excise (Narcotics Cell) personnel following a tip off recovered 310 kgs of contraband ganja from the possession of one Punyi Chakhesang (28 years). The accused person has been booked under relevant section of the NDPS Act 1985 and forwarded to judicial custody, a press release from the office of the Commissioner of Excise, Dimapur informed.
One held for Extortion
Kohima, April 21 (MExN): The Kohima Police has taken into custody one person for allegedly extorting money from Manipur bound trucks at NH-29 on April 20, a police official informed today. In a press note, the Sub – Divisional Police Officer & PRO Kohima, Atu Zumvü NPS said that the accused identified as Mhathung Zhimo (27 yrs) of New Nath Village under Zunheboto and presently a resident D’ Khel, Kohima was apprehended by the youths of Naga Hospital Colony, Kohima and produced him at South P.S. A cash amounting to Rs. 1030/- extorted from truckers were recovered from his possession, it said adding that, a case was registered against him at Kohima South P.S Case.
UNTABA meeting
Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): UNTABA executive committee, Joint action committee and Advisory board meeting will be held on April 23 at Book Marc conference hall at 11:00 am. Therefore all the concern member are requested to attend the said meeting without fail.
Tuensang DPDB meet
Kohima, April 21 (MExN): The monthly meeting of Tuensang District Planning & Development Board for the month of April will take place on April 25 at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang at 10:00 am. All concerned DPDB members have been requested to attend the said meeting positively.
NHRA Meeting
Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): To discuss an important agenda regarding the annual taxation, the Nagaland Hotel and Restaurant Association (NHRA) requested all its members to attend a meeting on April 24, from 3PM at its office, Nagi Paying Guest Dimapur. The Association further informed that any absenteeism will be dealt strictly with necessary action by NHRA.
5 Ghaspani II NPF Party office
Medziphema, April 21 (MExN): Inaugural Function for the 5 Ghaspani II NPF Party Office will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, the April 23 at Medziphema where Rajya Sabha MP KG Kenya will be the Chief Guest. All party functionaries are requested to attend the said function.
RPO Kohima meet-cum-seminar
Kohima, April 21 (MExN): The Rengma Public Organization, Kohima will hold its annual meeting –cum- seminar on April 23 from 10:00 AM onwards at Ura Academy Hall, Kohima. Parliamentary secretary for PWD (Housing) Er. Levi Rengma will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Greetings will be shared by Rengma Hoho president Kenyuseng Tep. Welcome address will be delivered by RPO Kohima president Khinyi Woch. A paper presentation on “Rengma identity & culture” will be given by Dr. Kenilo Kath, assistant professor Mt. Tiyi College, Wokha. The meeting will also witness by approval of constitution, general discussion, adoption of resolution and cultural presentation.
