ACAUT encourages to emulate Wokha unit’s resolve Dimapur, June 13 (MExN): ACAUT Nagaland today stated that the 7-point resolution adopted by the ACAUT Wokha unit at a public meeting on June 11 is a reminder to all the Naga Political Groups (NPGs) that “in the face of unity and firm determination of the masses not to pay tax, it would be foolish to antagonize the general public.” One of the resolutions adopted at the public meeting states that if any village/leader/ACAUT leader is summoned or arrested, the whole Lotha community will move in solidarity to be with that person or that village, reminded a press release issued by Media Cell, ACAUT Nagaland. “This true democratic expression by the people of Wokha should be adopted in all the districts without fear if Nagas want a peaceful and lasting solution. The Lotha people of Wokha have amply shown to the rest of us that there is power and progress in unity,” it added. Meanwhile, the release informed that FIR has been filed by ACAUT Nagaland against the Town Commander of Wokha Town, NSCN (IM).
