Hoardings banned in some Kohima areas Kohima, July 25 (MExN): All hoarding vendors in Kohima have been informed that installation of hoardings, banners, advertisements has been banned from Classic Island till the box-cutting junction. The ban was declared vide Deputy Commission of Kohima Order no. SDR/KMC/24/2015/427 dated July 18. A press note issued by Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Administrator has directed all to clear their properties on or before August 15 positively beyond which date, the same shall be removed without further notice. Further, all such vendors have been directed to declare their properties along with sizes and locations besides the ones in the mentioned area and submit to the KMC office on or before August 15.     Bol-bam festival at Singrijan Dimapur, July 25 (MExN): Bol-Bam Festival will be celebrated at Singrijan Shiv Mandir premises at Singrijan, Dimapur on August 25. Hindu devotees and well wishers may visit Singrijan Shiva Mandir on four Mondays before the festival (July 25, August 1, 8 and 15) to offer holy water on Shivalinga as per Hindu traditional system. Devotees have been requested to maintain discipline during the Bol-Bam Yatra. The Singrijan Shiva Temple Gate will remain open from 3:00am on four Mondays during the month of Bol-Bam to offer water and perform puja. This was informed in a press release issued by Debendra Rana, Press Secretary, Shiva Mandir Committee Singrijan, Dimapur.  

  CMS units say Centenary Teak Plantation field not for sale Dimapur, July 25 (MExN): The Khonoma Baptist Centenary Mission Society (CMS) members of Kohima, Dimapur and Medziphema have unanimously resolved that the Centenary Teak Plantation field will not be sold under any circumstance whatsoever. The decision was made during a joint emergency meeting of the CMS units of the three areas on July 25 at Medziphema Town. The house also decided that all individuals or parties should cease ongoing works in the field immediately and also warned that anyone entering into any sale agreement of the field shall be doing so at their own risk, stated a press release issued by CMS members of Kohima, Dimapur and Medziphema units.
