KMC reminds to renew licence Kohima, August 10 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) through its Administrator has reminded all owners of hostels/institutions to renew their license for the period April 2016-March 2017 within August 31.     Music competition held at CMHSS Pfutsero, August 10 (MExN): With an aim to promote music, especially ‘Li’ (indigenous), which has been losing its significance with the passage of time, Chakhesang Mission Higher Secondary School (CMHSS) in Pfutsero organized inter-house music competition on August 8. The programme was led by Rosy Domeh and the competition started with a prayer by Thekho Rova, Principal. The students showed great enthusiasm and zeal for healthy competition, a press release received here informed. The students competed in both western and indigenous folk songs.     ANHTU Kohima unit informs Kohima, August 10 (MExN): The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) Kohima Unit has informed all Hindi teachers in Kohima District that the Hindi Diwas will be held on September 14 at Chiephobozou, Kohima. It further informed that the usual competitions on Essay writing, Debate, Extempore Speech, Singing (solo) and Recitation will be held on September 13 at the venue of the programme. A press release from the ANHTU Kohima unit requested all concerned teachers to attend the programme positively. The release informed that the decision on the Hindi Diwas was taken during its yearly executive meeting on August 6 where matters regarding the welfare of the Hindi teachers were also deliberated. During the executive meeting, members present also paid a 1-minute respect to Vilavolie Rossi, one of its members who served as Hindi teacher at GMS Phekerukrema, who passed away on July 14 last.  

  Repair Mkg-Maraini road, MMRVCF appeals Mokokchung, August 10 (MExN): The Mokokchung to Maraini Roadside Villagers Concern Forum (MMRVCF) has requested the State Government to look into the poor condition of the Mokokchung-Maraini road and initiate maintenance works on the road as soon as possible. Seeing the poor road condition and being the lifeline for Mokokchung Town and villages along the road, the forum had on August 9 repaired a section of the road, a press release informed. In this regard, the MMRVCF has also requested travellers to start using this road as the forum continues to repair and maintain the road.
