8,580 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon seized Kohima, September 19 (MExN): Kohima Police personnel at Phesama check gate recovered 8,580 capsules of banned Spasmo Proxyvon worth Rs. 85,800/- from a Manipur bound Tata Winger bearing registration number MN01S-7585 on September 19 around 2:30 am. One person identified as Md. Jehengir (26), resident of Manipur, was taken into police custody for possession and transportation of the banned drug, informed a press release from SDPO (South)/PRO, Kohima Police. Meanwhile, a regular case vide Kohima South PS Case No. 0057/2016 U/S 21 (c) NDPS Act was registered against the arrested accused and he was remanded into judicial custody. Pest monitoring & surveillance in paddy field Dimapur, September 19 (MExN): One day demonstration programme on ‘pest monitoring & surveillance in paddy field’ was conducted by ATMA-Dimapur, Dhansiripar block on September 16 at Bade village. Field demonstration on how to analyse field situation with regard to pests, predators, soil conditions, plant health, influence of climatic factors and pest management practices was carried out with resource person Meciesenuo (ATM), according to a press release. The programme ended with group discussions between the farmers and the resource person. Altogether 18 farmers attended the programme, which was chaired by Moainla (BTM).
