Naga Yoya extends invite
Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): Myanmar-based Naga Yoya (Central) has extended an open invitation to all the Naga tribes living in India to attend the Naga New Year Festival which is scheduled to be held from January 14 to 16 in the Naga Self Administered Zone of Nanyun Town, under Sagaing Region, Myanmar. The Naga Yoya along with the event organizing committee also invited the Naga Hoho to attend the festival. “Please pay a visit to our festival and experience our culture,” it urged.
NPCC suspends Medokul Sophie
Kohima, January 11 (MExN): A day after extending the olive branch to its former members, the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee on Thursday rusticated the membership of Medokul Sophie from the Indian National Congress with immediate effect. The suspension order which was issued by NPCC President K. Therie laid blame on Sophie “for hobnobbing with communal parties”.
Works distributed for R-Day in Pfutsero
Pfutsero, January 11 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming Republic Day celebration, a meeting was convened by ADC Pfutsero, Zeneikhonuo Vimero at the ADC’s conference hall here on January 11, during which, works were assigned to various departments. Further, the ADC requested all the departments to cooperate and work as a team.
