NFHRCC urges PWD to choose competent firms

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has urged the Department of PWD (R&B) “not to entertain any external force in selection of contractors in regards to the jeep-able foothills road construction which is going to be determined on January 7, 2022 as per the open tender notified.” “We expect that the concerned department will award the contract only to the competent firms to execute the time bound works judiciously and on conditions as not to sub-let to any third party firms,” a press release from the NFHRCC said. It meanwhile insisted that the Government of Nagaland uphold the tripartite agreement between the department, the contractors and the NFHRCC for effective and transparent implementation of the works along with the respective tribal hohos in their respective jurisdictions. The NFHRCC further appealed to the bridge contractor—M/S L Pukhato Shohe & Sons to complete the bridge construction by February 2022 by any means positively without any compromise on the quality of works executed.
