Guwahati, February 17 (MExN):  The Northeast Frontier Railways (NFR) conducted a disaster management at the Multi-Disciplinary Divisional Training Institute (MDDTI), Rangiya on February 15.

 

Principal Chief Safety Officer NFR, MK Agarwal, along with VA Malegaonkar, Divisional Railway Manager, Rangiya  and  other senior officials were present during the discussion, it said.

 

 

The disaster management plan of the division was discussed in the presence of all stakeholders and an interactive session on the role of Instant Action Team was also held, informed a press release from NFR Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Subhanan Chanda.

 

 

The role and duties of front line railway staff like, Loco Pilot, Asst. Loco Pilot, Guard, Train Conductor, Train Superintendent, Coach attendant, AC mechanic, RPF, Station Master, Traffic Inspector, Welfare Inspector etc were also deliberated upon during the interactive session, it said.

 

A digital presentation on steps to be taken to tackle any major incidents like earthquake, landslide, flood, cyclone, fire etc was also shown while the role of NDRF, Civil defence, Scouts & Guides were also discussed upon for search and rescue of victim, it added.
