Kohima, April 15 (MExN): The Nagaland Government Registered Contractors and Suppliers Union (NGRCSU) has extended support to Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) for bringing out the alleged irregularity in awarding contract works (e-tender) in BSNL NE-II Zone, Dimapur.
“The reputation of BSNL has taken a beating for the alleged irregularity on favouritism, which should not have happened at all,” stated a press statement issued by NGRCSU President, Seyiekuolie. “The BSNL which had the repute as one of the most trusted telecommunications in providing connectivity to millions of people over the years and the allegation has brought disrepute to the brand name BSNL to a large extent.”
The NGRCSU also appealed to the higher authority of BSNL to re-look into the e-tender of awarding of works. It asserted that any qualified contractor deserving should be awarded the works and the works should not be awarded through unfair means. The union also demanded the higher authority to take necessary action against the corrupt officials.
