
Dimapur, december 30 (MExN): The Nagaland Garo Tribal Council (NGTC) vehemently condemned the December 28 bomb blast near the New Dhansiri Bridge in which two persons – Along Konyak and Ringthar Girisa – were critically injured.
“Such dastardly acts perpetrated on innocent public by anti-social elements need to be condemned by all right thinking citizens and organisations as such acts reveal the cowardice of the perpetrators who have no value for human lives,” the Council stated in a press release.
The Council further urged the authorities to book the culprits responsible at the earliest.
DDCF
The Dimapur District Citizens Forum (DDCF) has also strongly condemned Wednesday night's blast in which two innocent were injured and a few vehicles damaged.
“These incidents bring a bad name to the city and also creates a fear psychosis in the minds of the citizens,” a statement from DDCF stated while appealing all citizens of Dimapur to maintain peace and calm especially during the festive season.
The DDCF also appealed the law enforcing agencies to ensure that the culprits are traced at the earliest and punished as per the law.
Further, the DDCF prayed for the speedy recovery of the two injured.
Injured shifted to GNRC Guwahati
Ringthar Girisa who was injured in the December 28 blast incident near the New Dhansiri Bridge in Dimapur is undergoing medical treatment at GNRC Guwahati. A press release received here quoted a Neurosurgeon from the hospital as saying that the patient is in conscious state “but not out of danger”. Shrapnel from the blast reportedly struck the victim’s skull causing internal bleeding. The patient currently is under observation in the ICU.
