Kohima, February 16 (MExN): The route from Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) junction to Thizama will be closed for all traffic from February 17 till further notice.
A press release from the PRO Def Kohima informed that the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NDSMA), Home Department is carrying out mitigative measures for landslide affecting Nagaland Legislative Assembly Complex whereby a major rock bolting is to be carried out from February 17 with heavy machineries to be placed on the Thizama road below NLA Complex.
In this regard, the route will be closed till further notice in the interest of public convenience and safety and to enable NSDMA to carry out the said work.
Commuters have been advised to take the alternative route: NPSC Office junction – Planning Quarter road – Pruzie Shisha Hoho Prayer Centre entry gate - 4th NAP Bn camp, Thizama and vice-versa.
