NMA gets Rotary Peace Award 2015-16

Kohima, August 1 (MExN): The Rotary Peace Award 2015-16 has been given to the Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) for their relentless work for peace. The award is sponsored by the family of late Philip Suosahie Dzuvichu in his memory.  

The award was given during the Rotary Club Kohima’s 13th installation of the President and Board of Directors on July 30. The event had Parliamentary Secretary Khriehu Liezietsu as chief guest and Rtn. Lucy Akokla, Assistant Governor, Zone 1X as guest of honour. It was attended by Rotarians and families, women organisation leaders, Nagaland University Teachers’ Association, Rotractors and children and families under service projects of Rotary Club (RC) Kohima, informed a press release received here.  

Children who had undergone free heart surgery through RC Kohima were felicitated along with their families. The release said that the children are doing well both in health and studies.
