Dimapur, August 21 (MExN): Nagaland Medicine Dealers’ Association (NMDA) has alleged that an individual is visiting pharmacies in Dimapur, particularly Diphupar area, asking about relevant documents for checking and harassing the shopkeepers and also demanding money from them in the name of National Intelligence Bureau.
In this regard, an FIR has been lodged at Diphupar Police Station by the Assistant Drugs Controller on August 19, stated a press release from NMDA president, A Ato Yepthomi and hon. general secretary, Ashok Kr Singhal. The association has requested the police authority to take necessary action so that in future such incident will be avoided.
Meanwhile, it informed that all raids and enquiries have to be done in the presence of drug regulatory authority and not otherwise. “If any individual is harassing our members illegally, we will have no other option but to go for appropriate action as deemed fit,” the release stated.
