Kohima, December 10 (MExN): The New Market Youth Organization (NMYO) on Sunday celebrated its 44th foundation day with Neinguvotuo Krose, president, Angami Youth Organization (AYO) as the chief guest.
Krose congratulated NMYO and lauded its good works in various fields in the state capital. NMYO, he stated, is one of the oldest youth organizations and should play “a big brother role” in helping the other colony youth organizations.
The AYO president also solicited the support and cooperation of NMYO towards AYO activities in the future. Meanwhile, he appealed to all the colonies and wards to come forward in helping the government while carrying out development activities in their respective areas. Krose also announced that AYO will be meeting all the colonies’ youth organization(s) of Kohima town next year to discuss various issues.
Meanwhile, Akruo Nyusou, Vice chairman, NMAP recalled how the New Market colony was one of the fascinating colonies in the state capital and urged upon the youths to carry forward the good works.
Short speeches were delivered by Kuotsu, Chairman NMAP and Dr. Pudeli Rhezhü, former President NMYO. Earlier the function was chaired by Xavier Rutsa, welcome address was delivered by Vikholie Yiese, president, NMYO, special number was presented by Vithozo and party, invocation prayer and benediction were said by Neithovi-ü Kuotsu.
