Dimapur, February 5 (MExN): The Naga National Council (NNC) has called upon the Nagas especially the underground factions to step forward together as a body (common front) for the best interest of the nation for freedom ‘before it is too late.’ The NNC while wishing for a peaceful and prosperous life for all in the Naga country once again reiterated its stand for peace and unity of all the Nagas. The NNC in a press note issued by Mhasi Angami, information & publicity wing stated that the organization had resolved time and again for the best interest of the Naga nation after fragmentation (division) because of the 1975 Shillong Accord. “The NNC as the parent body of all the Nagas in particular and the North East Region in general stand for the whole and all the Naga inhabited areas”, the NNC stated.
