NNC to deliberate on Naga situation on Jan 23

Dimapur, Jan 16 (MExN): Asserting that the time for the ‘parent body of all the Naga people’ has come to work for the betterment of the people, the Naga National Council (NNC) has convened a ‘Central Executive Council’ meeting on January 23 at “Oking”, to discuss the prevailing ‘serious situation’ in Nagaland.

“The NNC is very concerned for the serious situation prevailing in the Naga homeland. The situation is going from bad to the worst in the homeland and the Naga people have become the real laughing-stock in the eyes of the Naga enemy. And the Naga people are really losing ground in politics and lives for the last few decades and this has become a very serious problem for the Naga Nation in particular” a note from the NNC’s Publicity Secretary Mhasi Angami stated.

The NNC ‘Central Authority’ asks all central executive council members and regional council members to attend the scheduled meeting positively. Appropriate action will be taken against those who fail to attend this important and “serious meeting” without valid reasons, it stated.

“The NNC (reminds) the members once again the seriousness of the situation and (calls for) duty of the nation without fail at this critical juncture in the homeland” it added.
