No dispute or shared opinion in Cong over Naga political problem: Pusa

Kohima, April 26 (mexn): All India Congress Committee (AICC) Member, K V Pusa today said it was the stand of the Congress party that all Naga political groups come for the talk with the Union Government to find a settlement to the protracted Naga political problem.

The former President of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) was said there was no dispute or shared opinion in the Congress party’s approach towards finding a solution to the vexed Naga political problem.

He reminded the leadership of the party in the state that what he had said on April 23 was the stand of the Party High Command, including President, Sonia Gandhi.

On April 23 the Congress leader has urged Naga militant groups to unite and come for the dialogue with the Centre adding that it was the wishes of the people. But the Congress leadership in the state has reacted to his statement stating that it was Pusa’s personal view.

Reacting to a Nagaland Congress Pradesh Committee (NPCC) rejoinder, Pusa said if the call for unity of Naga militant groups was not the policy of PCC than he has nothing to say.

While accepting that the view were personal, he asserted that no matter what he would continue to hold on to his stand that all Naga groups should come together and find a final settlement to the Naga political problem.

On NPCC’s statement that he (Pusa) is currently facing disciplinary proceeding from the Party High Command he said the party in New Delhi has rejected the conspiracy of the some leaders of PCC.

“Regarding disciplinary proceedings on specious charges against me and some of my colleagues by NPCC have not been agreed upon by AICC,” he added.
