DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 29 (MExN): The Nagaland Government today reminded that as per the UGC regulation, dated 2016, no university; institutions, deemed to be a university and college shall conduct M. Phil and Ph. D programmes through distance education mode. A notification issued by the Secretary of UGC, through the DIPR, today stated that “it shall be mandatory for the Higher Educational Institution to mention ‘Date of Admission’ and ‘Date of Completion’ on each of the certificates (in semester or end of the programme or course issued by it).” Further, it stated that a university established or incorporated by or under a Central Act shall operate only within the territorial jurisdiction as per the provisions of the Act.
