Replying to MLA Chotisuh Sazo, Water Resources advisor Namri Nchang stated that there is no Major Irrigation project in Nagaland.
In unstarred question, Chang Nchang informed that only the minor irrigation projects are taken up under CSS of PMKSY.
The department is presently implementing 270 Nos of Surface Minor Irrigation projects which was proposed to the Ministry during 2017-18 and sanctioned during 2018-19, 2019-20.
The 1st installment was received from the Government of India in March 2019 and the 2nd Installment was received in June 2020. The subsequent installment is awaited.
There is no new scheme proposed during the fiscal year 2020-21, Nchang stated.
