No step taken for reshuffle of DAN ministry yet: TR

Chief Minister TR Zeliang on Tuesday said that so far no step has been taken for reshuffle of the DAN ministry. Talking to media persons on the sideline of Legislators’ Pre-Christmas service here this evening, Zeliang said it had not yet decided about the reshuffle of the ministry. On reconciliation within the NPF, he said both the group are yet to meet face-to-face till date, adding that only some delegates went and met Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu’s group and signed the paper. He however said a meeting between the two groups looked imminent by Wednesday. According to Zeliang, reconciliation means “we are back to our party. We are apprehensive that Election Commission of India may even freeze the party symbol. If it is frozen it is not good for Naga people.” In order to avoid unpredicted situation we have decided to reconcile, he said and hoped that all like- minded group would work together. On Naga political issue, Zeliang said all the elected members in the form of a resolution had conveyed to the Government of India that solution should come before election. He however added that if election is announced they (elected members) would have to face election as they had taken oath under the Constitution of India “but we urged upon GoI that solution should come before election or it can be deferred.”
