The evaluation process of Class 10 and 12 exams in the State are still on and no tentative date can be given regarding the declaration of results, a Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) official clarified on Friday.

The clarification came in the backdrop of a ‘notification’ purportedly issued by the NBSE informing that the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) would be declared on June 15.

“Some mischief had edited last year's notification and spread it,” the official said regarding the notification.

“Right now, cannot say as evaluation process has been halted due to total lockdown,” the official informed, regarding the tentative declaration of results.

Information regarding declaration of exams is widely notified by the board well beforehand and as soon as anything is decided regarding the date, notification will be in advance, the official indicated.

It must be noted here that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the HSLC/HSSLC exams which are usually held in the month of February was postponed to April this year.

The HSSLC exams were held from April 6 to 29 while HSLC exams were held from April 7 to 21.

Consequently, the results usually declared on the first week of May have been extended.
