Kohima, March 5 (MExN): The Election Commission of India has issued a notification on March 4 for holding Biennial election to fill one seat in the Council of States (Rajya Sabha). N. Benjamin Newmai, Commissioner & Secretary & Returning officer, Biennial Election to the Council of States, 2016, today issued a notification stating that the last date for making nomination to the seat is Friday, March 11, scrutiny will be done on Saturday, March 12 and withdrawal on Monday, March 14. Polls, if necessary, will be held on Monday, March 21. For the election by the Members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, the Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat has been fixed by Newmai as the place at which a poll will be taken.
