Kohima, April 28 (MExN): NPCC today termed it unfortunate for AICC Member KV Pusa to claim conspiracy of some NPCC leaders to initiate disciplinary action against him “forgetting that his conduct as the Chairman of the previous NPCC Political Affairs Committee was in total conflict with the ideology and principles of the Indian National Congress.” Responding to the press statement of KV Pusa which was published on April 27, Media Cell, NPCC alleged that under his chairmanship, KV Pusa misguided the 8 Congress MLAs to join the NPF led DAN government of which BJP is a coalition partner fully knowing that INC can never join hands with “communal forces”.
AICC, it said, has never rejected the disciplinary proceedings against Pusa initiated by the NPCC. “On the contrary, his words and actions that have compromised the Congress ideology and principles are seriously viewed by the AICC and it is just a matter of time AICC gives its verdict,” NPCC said.
“Proclaiming through the media to absolve himself and shift blame on some NPCC leaders will not help his cause. Rather, it will be good on his part to maintain some decorum as former senior leader before he becomes the victim of his own words.”
