Kohima, December 11 (MExN): Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) launched its official website ‘www.nagalandpcc.org’ at Congress Bhavan, Kohima on December 11. Addressing the occasion, NPCC, General Secretary and State Co-ordinator Social Media Capt. GK Zhimomi said that the website launch has come at an opportune time in reaching out to the people especially the younger generations, to educate them on the policies, programmes and activities of the Party.
NPCC Media Cell stated in a press release that he also informed that other social media platforms like facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube links have been provided on the website for better interface and connect with the people. NPCC President, K. Therie pressed the Live button taking the website online in the presence of senior leaders and a host of party workers.
This was followed by a programme to welcome the resigned BJP workers from Mokokchung district who formally joined the Congress. Addressing the programme, S. Lepzung Jamir, State President, Narendra Modi Vichar Manch said that having worked in the BJP, the workers realised that the BJP’s ideology is not in the interests of the Naga people and therefore decided to join the Congress Party to work together under the leadership of K. Therie in the state and Rahul Gandhi at the national level.
He also said that the functioning of the BJP is fully influenced by the RSS which was totally unacceptable. He exuded confidence that the Congress party in the district and state would gain momentum in the run-up to the upcoming general election. The others who resigned from BJP to join the Congress party are State Secy.
Temjennungsang, BJP Youth Wing, Mokokchung District Secretary, Yotensang Tzudir and Pakumzukba Jamir, President, Asangma unit, BJP, along with 10 other workers.
