Dimapur, January 6 (MExN): Continuing its onslaught against the Congress party for the imposition of President’s Rule in Nagaland, the Nagaland People’s Front (NPF) party today strongly branded the Congress party as the “Merchant of PR” and said that the Ghandhi’s are ‘Mother of all PR’.
The NPF party, in a press release issued by its Associate Press Secretary Shilumar, while branding the Congress party as ‘Merchant of PR’, categorically declared that the NPF party adduced the imposition of PR as ‘murder of democracy, total annihilation of the Constitution and the Holocaust of the 21st century orchestrated by I Imkong MLA, the shameless defectors and the about to be defunct AICC under the dictatorship of Sonia Gandhi’.
The release said that Sonia Gandhi’s remark about Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi as the ‘Merchant of Death’ conflagrated the political catastrophe of the Congress party which led to the electoral debacle in Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh.
To avenge these defeats in state elections and to enhance ‘their miserable position’, the Congress party turned its attention towards the East and imposed PR in Nagaland, Shilumar asserted.
Also, the NPF party affirmed that “the imposition of PR in Nagaland on 1975, 1987, 1992, 2008 by Lt Indira Gandhi, Lt Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi respectively-Trio of mother, Son and Daughter-in-law, evidently shows that, “The Gandhi’s “the so called family friends of Nagas are, “Mother of all PR”.
Expressing distaste for PR in Nagaland, the NPF said that the work of the Congress party and the defectors after the December 13 is the symmetrical conspiracy planned by late Indira Gandhi way back in 1975, when her election was declared null and void by the Allahabad Court.
Similarly, the NPF party stated that the ‘infamous 1992 President Rule’ in the state imposed by late Rajiv Gandhi turned Nagaland into total disarray.
In this connection, the NPF party stated that the ‘monstrous culture and tradition of the Congress party have returned to haunt and gallows the peace obsessed and peace loving people of Nagaland, exactly after one and half decade’.
The NPF party alleged that the sole aim and objective of the Congress party for imposing PR in the state is to back track the peace process, to curtail the neck break paces of infrastructure and human resources development, to create an atmosphere of fear psychosis and to consolidate and improvise their ‘all-time low position in the state by conniving with the paramilitary forces’.
Strongly resenting the dismissal of the DAN Government, the release termed the overthrowing of a ‘legitimately mandated and constitutionally installed government in the form of PR by the Congress party in the state as a ‘Bloodless military coup’.
“The fragile UPA under the chairmanship of Sonia Gandhi, and the disoriented Congress party under the Presidentship of Sonia Gandhi, imposing PR in Nagaland ignoring, all the constitutional norms and provisions clearly demonstrates and states the Congress party are only for power,” the NPF Party declared.
With the imposition of PR, the Congress party have mercilessly snatched away the hard-earned peace from the Naga people and blurred the future of the state especially of the highly potential youths, the release added. “The Nagaland People’s Front challenge upon the Naga people to rise up to the call of the day and to make history the treacherous plan and design of the Congress party,” the release concluded.
