DIMAPUR, MARCH 12 (MExN): NPF party for 5 Ghaspani-II A/C, has raised resentment against the DAN III government for alleged discrimination of Dimapur district in regard to allocation of ministerial portfolios.
Legal advisor, Seyie-u Keyho, and political advisor, Keviyani Thepa, NPF candidate of 5 Ghaspani-II A/C, Zhaleo Rio, in a press release stated that Dimapur district, in particular Ghaspani –II A/C, had been neglected for the past decades in terms of developmental activities.
The two signatories on behalf of Ghaspani-II A/C NPF party pointed out that after years of suffering Dimapur district finally contributed two NPF legislators to the district, the bastion of the Congress party. “Despite the threats from various quarters, our candidate (Zhaleo) emerged victorious with thumping majority. Moreover, Zhaleo being a senior bureaucrat deserves a cabinet berth by virtue of his experiences”, the press release stated. Both the advisors also stated that Dimapur being the commercial hub and nerve of Nagaland, DAN government should have at least inducted a legislator from the district in the cabinet. While thanking chief minister Neiphiu Rio and NPF president Dr. Shurhozelie for inducting Zhaleo Rio as parliamentary secretary, both Seyie-u Keyho and Keviyani Thepa, stated that 5 Ghaspani-II A/C public have higher expectations that NPF party would bestow more blessings on their representative so that he can fulfill his electoral assurances and promises.
