‘NPF is a frog, the Cong an elephant’

Dimapur, Oct 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) taking strong exception to Urban Planning Minister Dr Shurhozelie’s remarks that “Nagaland Congress leaders are small fries who do not know anything of what is going on at the Centre”, is convinced that he is “talking off-balance” when attacking the congress.

“The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) is constraint to react to Dr. Shurhozelie, NPF President and Minister for Planning & Urban Development wherein he has stated that ‘Nagaland Congress leaders are small fries who do not know anything of what is going on at the Centre’” a rejoinder from NPCC President Hokheto Sumi stated.

“Dr. Shurhozelie appears to be talking off balance whenever he comes out attacking the Congress party. As a seasoned politician, if he wants respect from others, he should first know how to show respect to others. Otherwise calling Congress leaders as small fries by him is a reflection of his desperation as a regional political party leader” the Congress opined. Congress being a national party, if compared to a regional party it “looks like an ocean where leaders may appear small, but a regional party is like a small pond, where its leaders may think of himself to be very big in size” Sumi explained adding that it is like “a frog trying to become the size of an elephant, but while trying to expand his body muscle, it burst out is the same situation where Dr. Shurhozelie is heading his own NPF party at the moment.”

“The NPCC further reminds Dr. Shurhozelie not to have concern on other leaders’ retirement from public life before ascertaining his own health condition and  his age catching others” the Congress added.
