NPF Longleng consultative meet held

Kohima, June 20 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Longleng unit held its consultative meeting on June 17 at Niathu Resorts. The meeting was attended by two legislators from the district, P. Dako Phom, parliamentary secretary for transport & communication and mechanical engineering and S. Pangnyu Phom, parliamentary secretary for rural development and REPA.  The two were also accompanied by B. Phongshak, ex minister, Metpong Phom, ex minister, Nyemli Phom, former parliamentary secretary, B. Bangtuk secretary NPF, Chingko Phom, former vice president Naga Council, Y.P Angam, advisor Longleng Town Council, Leisha Phom advisor Longleng town council, Bukshi Phom NPF president Longleng division and a host of other party leaders.
Dako Phom in his speech exhorted the leaders to be dedicated and to extend all possible support to strengthen the party at the grassroots level in the district. He said that as a leader one should not only follow the situation created by others but also be able to create situations so as to attract others to join the party.
Pangyuh Phom in his speech expressed gratitude to all party workers of Longleng division for warmly welcoming his merger to the party fold. He conveyed appreciation to the Chief Minister, parliamentary secretary concerned for all developmental activities under Longleng district. The parliamentary secretary also donated Rs. 2 lakh towards the party fund of NPF Longleng Division.
Nyemli Phom in his speech requested the two legislators from the districts to work jointly in all spheres for all the round development of the district. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for fulfilling the dream of the Phoms by making Longleng district.
The meeting was chaired by Y.P. Angam and invocation prayer by B. Phongshak. Various leaders spoke on the importance of strengthening the party and encouraged one another to shoulder their responsibilities and extend cooperation to the two legislators. The main emphasis was to elect NPF legislators in the next general assembly, a release received here said today.
