NPF responds to DCC Dimapur

Dimapur, May 26 (MExN):  The NPF standing by its decision to support the UPA today asserted that the “unconditional support” stands to benefit the state. “The NPF stands for the aspirations of Nagaland and by extending unconditional support to the UPA at the centre the state stands to benefit not only in developmental activities but also help solve the long standing political problems,” Timir Choudhury, vice president (in charge media) NPF  stated.

Reacting to the statement of the District Congress Committee Dimapur questioning the “unconditional support” to UPA, Choudhury stated that the reaction of DCC Dimapur “are on expected lines considering their frustration” after being completely routed at the just concluded parliamentary and assembly by-elections.

“Politics is a game of survival” asserted the vice president NPF Dimapur, “and this can be augmented by the stance taken by stalwarts like Shri. Sharad Pawar, PA Sangma and more particularly Ms. Mamata Banerjee and many others who deserted the congress and were part of the NDA but are now integral part of the UPA.”

Responding to the accusations by the Nagaland Congress on the unconditional support, Choudhury opined: “The Congress in Nagaland instead of pointing fingers at the chief minister should get in touch with their higher ups in Delhi who have accepted the unconditional support and seek clarification from them.”

Referring to the “immature and shameless” tag labeled on them by the Dimapur Congress, Choudhury reminded the Congress not to forget its “past blunders” of removing the NPF led DAN “unconstitutionally” and subsequently imposing of President’s rule before the last Assembly elections. Despite this, the NPF led DAN “has shown enough maturity by forgetting the past blunders (of the Congress) and shown its magnanimity by this decision” of offering unconditional support to the UPA, the NPF asserted.

NPF further opined that “DCC Dimapur also show some signs of grown-ups instead of acting like cry babies”. (sic)
