DIMAPUR, MARCH 11 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) today scoffed at the PDA government’s “achievement announcement” during the alliance’s second anniversary on March 9.
“The 2nd year of PDA Government mark lots of controversy than the 1st year and holds no achievement,” claimed a press release from the NPF press bureau.
“No new project or achievement was brought about to the people even after the completion of their two year tenure in the office but simply carrying out the old works, which was initiated by the last NPF led DAN Government and that too in a haphazard manner with no quality works,” it stated.
The NPF stated that the “tall promises of the PDA Government falls short as the road projects: Dimapur-Golaghat Gate to Patkai Bridge and Kohima Bye Pass Check Gate to Phesama Check Gate was all supposed to be completed within 2019.” It further claimed that workmanship has been “pathetic and not up to the standard.”
It further slammed the PDA government’s proclamation that the Naga Political issue “was successfully concluded” on October 31, 2019. “However, till date no outcome is heard of; forget about the solution to the protracted Naga Political problem,” the NPF said. It also questioned as to why the PDA government “did not even raise its eyebrow to the Government of India over the denial of a Naga Civil Society leader/Human Rights Activist to travel outside India.”
The NPF further alleged that there have been “random backdoor appointments” in “almost all the government departments.” It ridiculed the PDA government’s slogans on transparency “when thousands of vacancies in the Government sector have been filled up without proper interview and norms.”
It meanwhile stated that the current government has failed to “bring any new scheme and project during the past two years despite having close proximity with the Central Government by virtue of a coalition partner with the BJP in the state.”
