Dimapur, December 21 (MExN): The NPF of 1 Dimapur-I Assembly Constituency celebrated pre-Christmas on Tuesday evening at Hotel Emerald Inn, Dimapur.
Pukhavi Yepthomi, former councillor, Dimapur Municipal Council hosted the celebration, which was attended by host of NPF party officials of central, division and A/C levels.
Extending Christmas greetings, Pukhavi dwelt on the purpose of advent Christmas and prayed for blessings of the festive season to be upon the NPF party workers in general.
Challenging the party workers of Dimapur-I in particular and Dimapur district as a whole to re-commit themselves to work in unity for the larger interest of the party, Pukhavi called upon the party workers of the district to be the flag bearers of the party and to work together upholding the party ideology and set a bright example for others to follow, a press release informed.
Er. Rhonthungo M Ovung, president, NPF Dimapur division delivered a short speech, while T Lotha spoke on behalf of the NPF central office.
Others who spoke at the celebration included Vishnu Bhattacharjee, president, NPF Minority Wing, Central Office, Itokhu Chophy, general secretary, NPF Dimapur Division, Temsuyanger Jamir, NPF Youth Wing, Dimapur and Vesolie, president, NPF Women Wing, Dimapur-I A/C.
Representatives of NPF Farmers Wing, Dimapur Division and representatives of all assembly constituencies also delivered short speeches.
The programme was chaired by Ihovi Zhimomi, president, NPF 1 Dimapur-I A/C.
