NPP Nagaland extends Dussehra Greetings

Dimapur, October 11 (MExN): The National People's Party (NPP) Nagaland State today extended Dussehra greetings and expressed hope that people will take the occasion as a time to purify their hearts and souls and bring unity among all communities.

“May peace and blessings be upon each one of us on this glorious occasion!” stated NPP in message issued by its president, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema.

Dussehra is a significant festival for the Hindu people. It is also called Dasara or Vijaydashami which marks the triumph of the Hindu god Rama over the ten-headed demon king Ravana. It is not only a festival but also symbolises the victory of good over evil, it added.  It further noted that festivals are expressive ways to celebrate glorious heritage, culture and traditions and play an important role to "add structure to our social lives, and connect us with our families and backgrounds."

“On this joyous and festive occasion, NPP Nagaland State greets all the believers a very happy Dussehra,” it added.
