NPP Nagaland members observe the 125 Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at the state party office at Thahekhu /Kevijau, Dimapur on January 23.

Dimapur, January 23 (MExN): Parakram Diwas or Desh Prem Diwas to honour the 125 Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on January 23 was observed at the state party office of National People’s Party (NPP) at Thahekhu /Kevijau, Dimapur.
The event was organized by the NPP State Minority Cell (Non-Tribal) and was graced by the NPP Nagaland President, Dr Anrew Ahoto Sema. As per a release from the Minority Cell, after unfurling the National Tri-colour, the Dr Ahoto share with the gathering about the life and works of Netaji and how through his sacrifices he had brought about great changes in the freedom struggle of the country.
He also encouraged the gathering to emulate the values of courage, truth and justice as reflected through the life of Netaji, it said. The state president also expressed gratitude to the cell for organising the event in such a befitting manner and for making him an integral part of the celebration.
Other highlights of the occasion included lighting of lamps, offering flower petals under the portrait of Netaji and singing of the National Anthem as a mark of tribute and respect to the great leader, the release added.
