NPSC summons critics to a face-to-face dialogue

Dimapur, September 26 (MExN): Taking cognizance of media articles published in the local print media by certain individuals, the Nagaland Public Service Commission (MPSC) has asked several persons to appear before the commission on October 3 for a “face to face” discussion. NPSC secretary Dellirose M Sakhrie in a release named Alem Longkumer, Abemo, KS Ayamo, Kaito Sema, Kilem, Z Katiry and Keyake, all from Kohima, to be at the NPSC office at 11 am without fail.

The commission stated that the aforementioned individuals have been writing in the local media in regard to the recent conduct of NCS, NPS & Allied main examinations for 2007. “It appears that the authors of the publications so made are cumbered with some confusion and grievances” the commission observed. The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) is also requested to depute at least two representatives to be present at the said discussion.

The commission made clear that failure on the part of any of the mentioned persons to appear for the “face to face,” the NPSC would be compelled to “construe that such publication made against the commission are aimed at maligning the image and the reputation of the commission by some interest vested persons using fictitious names.” The general pubic is cautioned not to be misled by such publications ‘now and in future.’

Further, editors of news dailies carrying such publications are requested to furnish addresses of “such authors” to the commission so as to “enable further correspondence with them.”
